there are no universal ethical accepted standards- ethical relativism.

Poli Sci = systematic study of political behavior; study of politics.

who governs= type of govt
by what means = power
what purpose = politics

Politics how society makes its binding authoritative decisions (public policy) + allocates resources (power)
excercise of influence and struggle for power.

public policy = gov't does or does not do

power ability to influence by granting/withholding valuable resources

govt= makes decisions (public policy)
resolve disputes (politics)
allocate resources (power)

federalism is power divided by a written constitution. between a central government or state/provincial government.

powers delegated to national government
powers reserved to the state
powers denied either/both govt
concurrent power.
states role in the make up of the nation.
